We are so excited to once again offer a mini competition team for the 2024-2025 season! This team consists of a group of young dancers who perform one routine at each of our four regional competitions, as well as at nationals. In addition to their mini competition team routine, these dancers will also perform two additional routines in our End of Year Revue.. The weekly schedule for our mini team is as follows:

After an amazing first season, we are so excited to continue offering an adult competition program! Dancers in this program will take our Advanced Adult classes on Thursday nights, followed by a rehearsal time for our competition routines. These dancers will perform at each of the competitions we attend!

For Storytellers alumni and those already in our Advanced Adult program, the competition program will have an additional $15 fee a month for tuition. For those joining our studio, there will be a $25 a month tuition! We plan to work with our dancers in this program to set how many routines they would like to do. We are having a blast with this exciting new program, and we would love to have you as a part of our 2024-2025 team!
At Storytellers, we aim to not only create a place where dancers can grow, but to also maintain a positive environment where each dancer feels like a part of our dance family! In addition to learning new steps and strengthening our technique, we place a large emphasis upon teamwork and the value of working together. This not only strengthens each individual dancer, but also strengthens our competition team as a whole!
Our award-winning team takes classes in the styles of Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary/Lyrical, and Hip Hop. We work hard to challenge our dancers during our weekly technique classes, while also making sure we have a whole lot of fun in the process. Our goal is to always push our dancers with exciting new dances to help them grow not only in their technique, but also in their performance skills. Petites and Juniors:
Tuesday; 5:30-7:30pm
Thursday: 5:30-7:30pm
Teens:

We also have group choreography and rehearsals on Saturdays throughout the season. Our competitions typically begin in early March, though that is subject to change from year to year. Each season, we attend four regional competitions and one national competition. Our competition dancers also perform all their group routines in our End of Year Revue each June.
We aim to help our dancers excel while always maintaining an exciting, positive, and safe environment. While growth in our dancers is a priority, we also believe having fun is just as important. We hold many events throughout the year for our team to bond together outside of dance classes, such as movie nights and pool parties. It is important for us to feel as close of a bond as possible with our team, and we love getting to spend time with each and every dancer! Our team also has performed at many events around Charlotte, such as at the Charlotte Eagles halftime show and on Good Day Charlotte! In July of 2017 and 2022, our team performed at Disney Springs at the Walt Disney World Resort! Members of our 2019-2020 competition team also performed during the 2019 AMG Heritage Awards, where we were named Dance Group of the Year! Outside of performing, members of our team also got the chance to volunteer alongside country recording artist Tenille Townes when she came to our studio to perform a benefit concert for S.A.F.E. Animal Haven on May 14th, 2022!
During our first eleven seasons, our team has received numerous first-place awards and other achievements. We have received Studio Spirit awards at various competitions, recognizing not only the amazing dancing of our team, but also the sportsmanship displayed by our dancers and families.
